Mountain Lions pull away from Emmanuel (Ga.) 103-84

Cleveland (20) and Rhyan (18) set career highs in victory

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Seth McCoy scored 23 points to lead four players in double figures as the Young Harris College men's basketball pulled away from Emmanuel (Ga.) College 103-84 Wednesday (Dec. 8) evening at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center.

The Mountain Lions won their third consecutive game as they improved to 3-5, while the Lions fell to 6-2. Young Harris opens up its Peach Belt Conference schedule next Wednesday (Dec. 15) as they travel to Milledgeville, Georgia, for a 3 p.m. contest against Georgia College.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
  • Carl Cleveland (20) and Anterrious Rhyan (18) set career highs in scoring in the win.
  • Cleveland was 8-of-11 from the field, grabbed six rebounds, and had four assists.
  • Rhyan connected on 5-of-7 shots from the field and went 7-of-8 from the charity stripe. He also dished out four assists.
  • McCoy led the Mountain Lions with 23 points as he was 5-of-6 from field - all from three-point range - and perfect (8-of-8) from the free throw line. He also grabbed seven rebounds.
  • Lenny Pradia finished with 17 points. He led the Mountain Lions with six assists and recorded three steals.
  • Young Harris set season highs in free throws made (31), free throws attempted (36), steals (12) and points (103).
  • Emmanuel took a four-point lead (29-25) after Tyonn Stuckey connected on a three-pointer with 4:42 left in the first half. The Mountain Lions closed out the half on a 14-2 run as they took a 39-31 lead into intermission. Cleveland scored eight of his points during the decisive run.
  • YHC pushed the lead to double figures - 11 points (44-33) - after an old-fashioned three-point play from Pradia with 19:06 left.
  • The Mountain Lions put the game out of hand with an 24-7 run over a four-minute stretch as they took their largest lead - 28 points (84-56) - on a Davis three-point play with 8:26 to go. McCoy paced YHC during the run with 11 points and hit three triples.
  • YHC shot 54.2 percent (32-of-59) from the field, including 21-of-29 (72.4 percent) in the game's final 20 minutes.
  • The Mountain Lions hit six of their seven attempts from three-point range in the second half.
  • Young Harris connected on 31-of-36 attempts (86.1 percent) from the free throw line.
