Mountain Lions battle against Georgia College

Cleveland scores career-high 21 points

MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. | Carl Cleveland set a career high record of 21 points as the Young Harris College men's basketball team falls to Georgia College 89-65 in a Peach Belt Conferene game Wednesday (Dec. 15) afternoon at the Centennial Center. 

The Mountain Lions fell to 3-6 overall and 0-1 in the PBC, while the Bobcats advanced to 9-1 and 2-1. Young Harris returns to action Saturday (Dec. 18) with a 3 p.m. tip off against Anderson (S.C.) University at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center.

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:
  • Cleveland scored his points on 9-of-17 shooting and led the Mountain Lions with seven rebounds.
  • Anterrious Rhyan scored 16 points and collected four rebounds for the Mountain Lions. 
  • Young Harris shot 51.7 percent (15-of-29) from the field and shot 54.5 percent (6-of-11) in three pointers during the first half. 
  • The Mountain Lions led by one point (40-39) at the half after a Rhyan layup with just over one minute remaining. 
  • Lenny Pradia added 10 points, while Maclean Hoekwater grabbed six rebounds and Sam Conley added five. 
  • Georgia College had their biggest lead of the night - 24 points (87-63) - in the second half with 2:02 left after a three-pointer by Jamal Taylor. 
  • Young Harris connected on 9-of-11 shots taken at the free throw line.
