YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Morehouse College scored 24 unanswered points over a six-minute span late in the second half to earn a 79-72 victory over the Young Harris College men's basketball team Wednesday (Nov. 17) evening at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center. 

The Maroon Tigers improved to 1-1,while the Mountain Lions fell to 0-3. Young Harris returns to action at home Tuesday (Nov. 23) with a 7:30 p.m. game against Shorter University. 

INSIDE THE BOXSCORE:

• Carter Berish sunk a three-pointer at the 6:11 mark to give the Mountain Lions a 69-55 lead. 
• Olisa Akonobi and Kerry Richardson scored 13 of the 24 points to give the Maroon Tigers their biggest lead of the night - 10 points (79-69) - with 24 seconds remaining. 
• Karl Chavis totaled 15 points and seven rebounds for Young Harris. Seth McCoy added 15 points, while Carl Cleveland had seven points and six rebounds.
• Morehouse College held a 35-33 margin in rebounds. 
• As a team, Young Harris dished out 21 assists as Berish and Anterrious Rhyan had five each.
