Mountain Lions fall short to Bears 94-86

Karl Chavis set career highs in points (32) and rebounds (15)

CHARLOTTE, N.C. | The Young Harris College men's basketball team fell short to Lenoir-Rhyne University 94-86 Saturday (Nov. 13) evening at the Southeast Regional Challenge hosted by Queens University of Charlotte.
 
The Mountain Lions fell to 0-2, while Lenoir-Rhyne improved to  1-1. Young Harris has its home opener Wednesday (Nov. 17) with a 7:30 p.m. game against Morehouse College at the YHC Recreation and Fitness Center. 
 
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE: 
  • Karl Chavis led the Mountain Lions with a career-high 32 points, hitting 13-of-18 shots from the field including three triples. Chavis also pulled down a career-high 15 rebounds.
  • Seth McCoy added 15 points and he connected on five three-pointers. 
  • Carl Cleveland recorded a double double with 12 points and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds.
  • The Mountain Lions dished out 25 assists as Carter Berish and Chavis added six each. Sam Conley tallied four. 
  • The Mountain Lions outrebounded the Bears 39-35.
