YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The 33rd-ranked Young Harris College baseball team opened the 2020 campaign with a 1-0 shutout over Lee University Tuesday (Feb. 4) afternoon in a non-conference contest at Zell B. Miller Field.
The Mountain Lions improved to 1-0 and will open a three-game home weekend series against Mississippi College Friday (Feb. 7) at 4 p.m.

Mat Szabo,
Brett Jackson,
Zac Bright,
Wes Glass,
Cameron Williams and
McLain Harris - crafted a five hitter and struck out eight.
The Mountain Lions got all the offense they would need in the seventh as
Dahlton Cash and
John Miller starting the inning with back-to-back doubles off reliever Alex Butler (0-1) to give Young Harria a 1-0 lead.
Williams (1-0) earned the win with 3 1/3 innings of scoreless relief, while Harris earned his first save of the season as he worked two perfect innings with three strikeouts.
Tucker Greer had two hits to lead the YHC offense.
