YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College swept Augusta College in a Peach Belt Conference baseball doubleheader to complete the series sweep Saturday (April 13) afternoon at Zell B. Miller Field.
The Mountain Lions opened up to a 9-4 game one victory before taking the nightcap 8-5. Young Harris improved to 28-13 overall and 14-8 in the PBC, while the Jaguars fell to 17-24 and 6-20. The Mountain Lions travel to Central, South Carolina, for a 6 p.m. matchup against Southern Wesleyan University Tuesday (April 16) at Dr. C. Keith Connor Field.
The 28 wins so far this season ties for second most in the YHC NCAA era with the 2011 season. The 14 PBC wins is one shy of last season's conference record (15).
Dahlton Cash tied the game at one in the bottom of the second in game one for YHC with a solo shot, his second home run of the season, to left field.
