YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Bailey Campbell drew a walk with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning to give Young Harris College a 5-4 victory over the University of Southern Indiana in a non-conference baseball game Wednesday (March 6) afternoon at Zell B. Miller Field.
The Mountain Lions improved to 13-7, while the Screaming Eagles fell to 7-5. Young Harris hosts Augusta University in a Peach Belt Conference weekend series that starts at 6 p.m. Friday (March 8).
Zavier Lushington opened the scoring for the Mountain Lions in the bottom of the fourth with a single through the left side that scored
Tucker Greer.
Southern Indiana took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fifth after Manny Lopez hit a two RBI single to right field. Aaron Euler added another run in the fifth for the Screaming Eagles with a RBI fielder's choice.
Ethan Underwood grounded out to the pitcher and brought home a run to make it a 3-2 game in the bottom of the seventh. Greer tied the game at three with a single to center field that scored
Corley Reynolds. Campbell gave Young Harris a 4-3 lead with a bases-loaded that brought Greer home.
Euler tied the game for Southern Indiana in the top of the eighth with a solo home run to right field.

Dylan Nix (1-0) picked up his first win of the season for Young Harris as he allowed one run on two hits with three strikeouts in 4.2 innings of relief.
