YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Kallie German and Hannah Ashton combined for 13 goals as No. 9 Rollins College defeated Young Harris College 22-8 in a non-conference women's lacrosse match Sunday (Feb. 24) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.
The Tars improved to 4-0, while the Mountain Lions suffered their first loss and fell to 2-1. Young Harris will travel to Huntsville, Alabama, Saturday (March 2) for a 2 p.m. Central time Gulf South Conference match against the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Taylor Greenberg led the way for Young Harris with four goals, while
Leigh Anne Turner had two.
Erika Cross and
Channing Milford also scored a goal each for YHC. Cross and
Mary Deatrick had an assist apiece.
Cross led the Mountain Lion with six draw controls, while goalie
Rachel Robb, who had 16 saves, collected six ground balls.
Kelsey Dover, who caused two turnovers, also scooped up three ground balls.
