HARROGATE, Tenn. | Lincoln Memorial University defeated Young Harris College 4-3 in a non-conference men's tennis match Monday (Feb. 18) at the LMU Indoor Tennis Facility.
The Railsplitters improved to 5-1, while the Mountain Lions fell to 0-4. Young Harris hosts Tusculum University Sunday (Feb. 24) in a 10 a.m. contest at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
Javier Villar recorded a 6-3, 7-6 win at No. 1 over David Segarra, while
Kash Reddiyar picked up a 2-6, 6-2, 6-2 victory over Moritz Hoer at No. 3.
Romeo Luque picked up his first career win after defeating Favian Sjokvist 2-6, 6-3, 12-10 at No. 5.
Although Lincoln Memorial won the doubles point, Reddiyar and
Ignacio Ascarrunz recorded a 6-3 victory over Sjokvist and Savastian Colla at No. 1 doubles.
