YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Lenoir-Rhyne University defeated Young Harris College 5-2 in a non-conference men's tennis match Friday (Feb. 1) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.

It was the season opener for both teams. Young Harris returns to action Feb. 9 when they travel to Williamsburg, Kentucky, for a noon match against the University of Cumberlands.

Young Harris won two singles matches on the day. Javier Villar recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 over Hamed Gandouz, while Kash Reddiyar picked up a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 victory over Rhodri Atkinson at No. 3.
