Box Score YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Laura Sanchez helped lead Young Harris College to a 5-2 Peach Belt Conference women's tennis victory over Lander University  Tuesday (March 6) evening at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.

The Mountain Lions improved to 8-2 overall and to 5-1 in the league, while the Bearcats fell to 4-5 and 1-3. Young Harris returns to action Saturday (March 10) with an 11 a.m. Central time match against the University of Montevallo in Montevallo, Alabama.

Sanchez, who was named the Peach Belt's Player of the Week earlier in the day, teamed up with Elin Rundcrantz to earn the Mountain Lions a 8-2 win at No. 3 doubles as Lander took a 2-1 lead after doubles. Sanchez helped Young Harris clinch the match  by winning all four singles matches that were finished. Sanchez claimed a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 4 singles.
