GREENVILLE, S.C. | Conference Carolinas announced its 2026 women's tennis post regular season awards, with Lexie Gillespie (Maud Scholten 2025) earning Freshman of the Year honors, marking the second straight season a Mountain Lion has claimed the award.

Gillespie delivered a standout debut campaign for Young Harris, primarily competing at No. 6 singles where she posted an impressive 15-1 overall record, including a perfect 10-0 mark in conference play. In doubles action, she contributed at the No. 2 and No. 3 flights, compiling a 3-2 record in Conference Carolinas matches and playing a key role in the Mountain Lions' dominant season.
