YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The University of Mount Olive edged Young Harris College 5-4 in a battle of nationally ranked men's tennis teams Friday (March 30) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The No. 27 Trojans improved to 10-4, while the No. 22 Mountain Lions, whose last three matches have been decided by 5-4 margins, fell to 9-6. Young Harris returns to action Saturday (March 31) with a 1 p.m. match in Franklin Springs, Georgia, against Emmanuel (Ga,) College.
UMO took a 2-1 lead after doubles and then split the six singles matches with Young Harris.Â

Javier Villar, who is ranked No. 64 nationally, picked up straight-set wins in singles for the Mountain Lions.
