Young Harris completes sweep of No. 11 Saints

YOUNG HARRIS, Ga.  |  Tristin Smith hit his third home run of the weekend - his fourth of the season - as Young Harris College completed the three-game sweep of No. 11 Flagler College with a 4-3 decision in a Peach Belt Conference baseball game Saturday (March 24) afternoon at Zell B. Miller Field.

The Mountain Lions improved to 16-13 overall and 10-8 in the PBC, while the Saints fell to 23-8 and 14-4. It was the first sweep of a PBC series by the Mountain Lions since April 2014 when they took three games from Georgia Southwestern State University. Young Harris returns to action Tuesday as they host Emmanuel (Ga.) College in a 4 p.m. home contest.

Jackson Jones put the Mountain Lions on the board in the bottom of the third inning with a single ro right field that scored Logan Worley

Young Harris added two more in the sixth inning with a two-run homer by Smith over the left field fence.

Corley Reynolds scored the fourth run for Young Harris in the seventh inning after a throwing error.

Steven DiPuglia hit a solo home run over the left field fence for the Saints in the top of the eighth inning. Flagler added two more runs in the eighth to make it a 4-3 game.
