YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Steven Tomlinson went 5-for-5 and drove in four runs to lead No. 5 University of North Georgia to a 10-0 Peach Belt Conference baseball win over Young Harris College Sunday (April 9) afternoon at Zell B. Miller Field.
The Nighthawks, who swept the three-game series from their cross-mountain rivals, improved to 29-7 overall and remained in first place in the Peach Belt with a 14-4 ledger. Young Harris fell to 12-23 and 5-13. The Mountain Lions return to action Tuesday (April 11) with a 5 p.m. home contest against the University of West Georgia.
Dylan Peppers (4-2) allowed three hits and struck out 11 over eight innings to earn the win. Peppers didn't allow the Mountain Lions a hit until
Cory Ewald singled through the left side with one out in the sixth.
Michael Livingston (5-4) allowed four hits as he scattered 10 hits and 10 strikeouts over seven innings for the Mountain Lions.
