YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Young Harris College women's tennis team wrapped up their regular season with a 9-0 decision over Emmanuel (Ga.) College Wednesday (April 19) afternoon at the Bob & Gayle Nichols Tennis Complex.
The 38th-ranked Mountain Lions, who remained ranked sixth in the final NCAA regional rankings, improved to 15-7 on the season, while the Lions fell to 15-11. Young Harris will now turn its attention to the Peach Belt Conference Tournament this weekend in Florence, South Carolina. The Mountain Lions, who are seeded sixth in the tournament, will face No. 8 Flagler, the tournament's third seed, in a 9 a.m. quarterfinal match at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center.
The Mountain Lions only dropped 17 games as they swept all six singles matches in straight sets.
