YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Francis Marion University scored four runs in the seventh inning as they rallied for a 7-4 victory to salvage the final game in a Peach Belt Conference series against Young Harris College Sunday (March 19) afternoon at Zell B. Miller Field.
The Patriots improved to 20-7 overall and to 4-5 in the Peach Belt while the Mountain Lions fell to 8-14 and 3-6. Young Harris returns to action Tuesday (March 21) as they host Anderson (S.C.) University in a 4 p.m. contest.

Cory Ewald hit a solo home run to left field an inning later. It was Ewald's first long ball of 2017.
The Mountain Lions took a 4-2 lead after scoring twice in the fourth inning.
Luke Miller drove in the first run with a single through the left side and
Brett Westmoreland added an RBI single to right to chase FMU starter Sam High. High's replacement Christian Umphlett (4-1) picked up the win for the Patriots after throwing 5 2/3 innings of scoreless relief, allowing just one hit.
Tyler Washington led the Mountain Lions with three hits. Ewald, Miller, and Westmoreland had one hit apiece.
