MONROE, N.C. | The 2017 J. Ralph Hargett Memorial Intercollegiate men's golf tournament that Young Harris College was scheduled to compete in was canceled Sunday (March 12) afternoon.

The tournament, which was scheduled to be a 54-hole event, was originally shortened to 36 holes at the Monroe Country Club Saturday (March 11) due to a dire weather forecast; however with two inches of snow on the ground and a foreboding forecast for Monday (March 13), the tournament committee opted for canceling the annual event.

The Mountain Lions return to action March 27 when they travel to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to compete at the UNA Spring Classic/Preview.
