YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The Auburn University at Montgomery baseball team took the series finale from Young Harris College 9-1 Sunday (Feb. 19) afternoon at Zell B. Miller Field.
AUM improved to 4-6, while the Mountain Lions fell to 3-7. Young Harris returns to Zell B. Miller Field Wednesday (Feb. 22) as they face Lee University at 3 p.m.
Zach Wall scored the only run for the Mountain Lions as he led off the second inning with a home run to left field. It was his first homer of the season.
Royce Woolfolk gathered two hits, including a third-inning double. Wall, Washington and
Rudy Gaona each had one hit apiece as the Mountain Lions only got five hits on the day.
Hudson Graham (0-1) earned the loss for the Mountain Lions scattering seven hits, and three runs (one earned).
Chase Johnson (1-1) earned his first for the Warhawks scattering five hits, striking out seven and allowing one run in the complete-game effort.
