AUGUSTA, Ga. | Drew Taylor drove in four runs as Augusta University recorded a 13-0 Peach Belt Conference baseball victory over Young Harris College Sunday (March 6) at Lake Olmstead Stadium.

The Jaguars improved to 13-6 overall and to 5-1 in the league while the Mountain Lions fell to 6-11 and 1-8. Young Harris returns to action Tuesday (March 8) with a 4 p.m. contest against Tusculum College in Greeneville, Tennessee.

Taylor singled home two runs in the third inning against YHC starter
Michael Livingston (2-2) and Connor Gilbert added a two-run double as the Jaguars took a 4-0 lead.

Augusta, which had 15 hits, added three more runs in the fifth and scored six runs in the eighth. Taylor had a two-run single in the eighth.

Will Thompson (2-1) earned the win for Augusta as he scattered seven hits and struck out nine in seven innings.

Nick Sexton and
Triston Smith led Young Harris with two hits apiece while
Zach Odom,
Zach Wall,
Troy Kizer and
Chris McGinnis had one each.
