BOCA RATON, Fla. | Lynn University used strong first and third quarter performances to defeat Young Harris College 13-5 in a men's lacrosse match Saturday (March 26) afternoon at Bobby Campbell Stadium.

The No. 20-ranked Fighting Knights improved to 7-3 while the Mountain Lions saw their six-match winning streak snapped as they fell to 6-4. Young Harris returns to action Wednesday (March 30) when they host Reinhardt University in a 7 p.m. match at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

Lynn led YHC 4-1 after the first quarter and took a 7-4 lead at the half. The Fighting Knights, which outshot 47-22, scored six of the seven goals scored in the second half.

Connor Leies led the Mountain Lions with two goals while
Chandler Bradley,
Matt Spadafora and
Mason McBroom each tallied a goal.
Jayden Campbell,
Michael Gernatt and
Mitch McDole each contributed an assist.

Lynn won 13 of the 21 face-offs while the Knights held a 44-16 advantage in ground balls.
Zac Barrett won five face-offs while
Zach Stephenson had three. Gernatt and
Kerry Ostrowski each had three ground balls while
E.J. de la Torre and
Matty Ledon each scooped up two.
