YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | The University of North Carolina at Pembroke swept a Peach Belt Conference baseball doubleheader against Young Harris College Saturday (March 26) afternoon at Zell B. Miller Field.
UNC Pembroke won the opener 10-3 before taking the nightcap 12-5.
The Braves improved to 22-9 overall and to 9-6 in the Peach Belt while the Mountain Lions fell to 10-19 and 5-13. Young Harris returns to action Tuesday (March 29) when they host Lee University in a 6 p.m. game.

Brett Westmoreland led Young Harris with two hits apiece in the opener. Miller hit a two-run homer – his third of 2016 - to left field in the sixth inning while
Brett Westmoreland had a RBI single up the middle in the second inning.
Lane Johnson (3-1) earned the win for the Braves while
Donald Frew (2-4) took the loss. Kyle Ramsey earned his first save as he struck out eight in three relief innings.
Odom, who has a 14-game hitting streak, drove in three runs with a bases-clearing double in the fifth inning in the nightcap.
Troy Kizer added a leadoff homer – his third of the season – to left field in the seventh.
Nick Sexton led the Mountain Lions with two hits, including an RBI infield single in the seventh.
Nick Debo hit two home runs in game two for UNC Pembroke as he collected four hits and drove in four runs.
Logan Cook (4-3) earned the win with nine strikeouts in seven innings while
Cole Amtmann (0-1) took the loss in his first appearance of the year.
