AUGUSTA, Ga. | No. 36 Augusta University held off Young Harris College 5-4 in a Peach Belt Conference women's tennis match Sunday (March 13) afternoon at the Newman Tennis Center.
The Jaguars improved to 11-3 overall and to 4-3 in the Peach Belt while the Mountain Lions fell to 6-4 and 2-4. Young Harris returns to action Friday (March 18) when they host the University of Illinois at Springfield in a 2 p.m. match in Dahlonega, Georgia,
Elin Rundcrantz gave the Mountain Lions a 4-3 lead after she picked up a 6-1, 4-6, 7-5 victory at No. 1 singles, before the Jaguars claimed three-set wins at No. 2 and No. 5 singles to clinch the match.
