YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. – Leilani King and Ileyana Little each scored five goals as Gannon University defeated Young Harris College 22-5 in a women's lacrosse match Saturday (March 7) afternoon at the YHC Soccer and Lacrosse Field.

The Golden Knights improved to 1-2 while the Mountain Lions dropped their first match of 2015 and fall to 1-4. Young Harris opens its spring break trip with a 1 p.m. contest against Alderson-Broaddus University Monday (March 9) in Philippi, West Virginia.

The Mountain Lions got their scores from Amanda Kernohan, Jaclyn Kernohan, Katie McNutt, Meghan Tonnesen and Jordana Freitas. Amanda Kernohan and Taylor Lincoln each added an assist.

Lincoln led YHC with four draw controls and three ground balls. Rachel Lepine, Elli Flaig and Kendra Parenteau each scooped up three ground balls for the Mountain Lions.

Goalies Sarah Nudelman and Carter Moore each registered five saves for the Mountain Lions.
