HARROGATE, Tenn. – Lincoln Memorial University rallied to take a 5-4 non-conference women's tennis victory over Young Harris College Sunday (Feb. 8) afternoon at the LMU Tennis Complex.
The Railsplitters improved to 2-1 while the Mountain Lions fell to 1-1. Young Harris opens Peach Belt Conference play Saturday (Feb. 14) when they travel to St. Augustine, Florida, for a 2 p.m. match against No. 30 Flagler College.
Young Harris took a 2-1 lead after doubles as Kadie Hudgins and Carolina Hernandez took a 9-7 win at the No. 3 flight.
The Mountain Lions took a 4-3 lead after Elin Rundcrantz and Laura Sanchez picked up wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles; however, LMU claimed the match as they picked up wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles.
