Mountain Lions in second place after first round of Berry tournament

ROME, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team is in second place after the first round of The George H. Bedwell Memorial hosted by Berry College Monday (April 14) afternoon.

The Mountain Lions had three players in the top 10 after day one as they shot 308 on the par 72, 6,721-yard layout at the Stonebridge Golf Club. Young Harris trails leader University of the Cumberlands by seven strokes as the Patriots fired a 301.

Linus Manntz shot a one-over par 73 and is in third place while Adam Taylor is tied for fourth after a 74. Clark Melton carded a 75 and is tied for sixth place. Parker Hulme fired an 86 and is in 36th place while Reeves Bell had an 88 and is tied for 39th.

Bob Jones University's Clay Wiginton leads the field after shooting a one-under par 71.

The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (April 15).
