DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team finished third place at the Chick-fil-A Spring Invitational Tuesday (April 1) afternoon hosted by the University of North Georgia.
The Mountain Lions shot 297 in the final round on the par 72, 6,967-yard layout at the Achasta Golf Club to finish the 36-hole tournament at 598. Dalton State College won the tournament at 589, one stroke better than first-round leader Brewton-Parker College.
Adam Taylor finished in a tie for third place at 145 after shooting a 75 while Eli Crumley had the best round of the day for the Mountain Lions with a one-under par 71 to finish in a tie for ninth at 148. Linus Manntz carded a 78 and came in a tie for 19th place at 154 while Clark Melton finished a stroke back at 155 after shooting a 73 to stand in a tie for 22nd. Reeves Bell had an 80 and tied for 25th place at 158.
The Mountain Lions will return to action for the final time this season when they travel to Rome, Ga., April 14 to compete in the George H. Bedwell Memorial Tournament.
