Taylor in second place after opening round of Chick-fil-A

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team is in fourth place after the opening round of the Chick-fil-A Spring Invitational Monday (March 30) afternoon hosted by the University of North Georgia.

The Mountain Lions shot 301 on the par 72, 6,967-yard layout at the Achasta Golf Club. Brewton-Parker College leads the tournament at 290

Adam Taylor is second place overall after shooting a two-under par 70 and trails Brewton-Parker's Dillon Board by five strokes entering the final round. Linus Manntz is tied for 16th place after a 76 while Eli Crumley shot a 77 and is tied for 19th. Reeves Bell carded a 78 and is tied for 22nd place while Clark Melton registered an 82 and is tied for 31st

The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (April 1) with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
