NINETY SIX, S.C. – The Young Harris College men's golf team completed play at the Bearcat Golf Classic Sunday (March 23) afternoon hosted by Lander University.
The Mountain Lions finished the 54-hole tournament on the par 72, 7,133-yard layout at The Patriot at Grand Harbor Course in 13th place with a score of 917 after a 309 in the final round. Fellow Peach Belt Conference member Georgia College won the tournament with a score of 873.
Clark Melton led the Mountain Lions as he finished in a tie for 37th place at 228 after registering the low round of the day at 75. Reeves Bell carded a 77 and came in a tie for 45th place at 231. Linus Manntz and Adam Taylor finished in a tie for 51st place at 233 after Taylor shot a 75 and Manntz had an 81. Eli Crumley shot an 88 and finished in a tie for 72nd place at 238.
Young Harris returns to action March 31 when they travel to Dahlonega, Ga., to take part in the Chick-fil-A Invitational hosted by the University of North Georgia.
