Mountain Lions tied for 15th place at Jennison Memorial

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Young Harris College men's golf team is tied for 15th place Monday (Sept. 23) after the first 36 holes of the Jay Jennison Memorial hosted by Flagler College.

The Mountain Lions shot 317 in the morning round on the par 72, 7,073-yard layout at The Palencia Club before shaving 25 strokes in the afternoon round to shoot 293, one off the college-record low round set last week at the Full Moon Invitational, and stands at 610 after 36 holes. Flagler leads the tournament at tallying 575, three strokes better than Peach Belt Conference foes Georgia College and Lander University.

Eli Crumley and Clark Melton are the top scorers for the Mountain Lions at 149 and are tied for 35th place. Playing in his first tournament of the season, Crumley had rounds of 77 and 72 while Melton carded scores of 76 and 73. Adam Taylor is tied for 65th at 155 after rounds of 82 and 73 while Linus Manntz is tied for 74th at 157 with rounds of 82 and 75. Drew Wagner had rounds of 82 and 76 and is tied for 79th at 158.

The 54-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (Sept. 24).
