WALLACE, N.C. – The Young Harris College men's golf team is ninth place after the second round of the UNCP/Campbell Oil Classic Friday (March 29) afternoon.
The Mountain Lions shot rounds of 325 and 301 on the par 72, 6,895-yard layout at the River Landing Country Club to stand at 626 after 36 holes. The 301 was the third lowest in the afternoon round amongst the 12 teams competing. Tournament host University of North Carolina at Pembroke and Mount Olive College led the event after shooting 600 through two rounds.
Adam Taylor is the top Mountain Lion in the tournament as he shot rounds of 78 and 74 to stand at 152, good for a tie for 16th place.
Matthew Peeler is tied for 34th at 156 after scores of 84 and 72 while
Beau Gammage had rounds of 82 and 76 to place 42nd at 158.
Chase Hankla is tied for 45th at 160 with scorecards of 81 and 79 while
Parker Hulme is 65th at 174 after firing rounds of 89 and 85.
The 54-hole tournament concludes Saturday (March 30).
