TIGERVILLE, S.C. – The Young Harris College men's golf team moved up one spot into a tie for sixth place at the Cherokee Valley Intercollegiate Tuesday (March 26) afternoon.
The Mountain Lions carded their second consecutive round of 326 to finish the 36-hole tournament with a score of 652 to tie Spartanburg Methodist College.
Adam Taylor finished in ninth place overall for the Mountain Lions as he tallied an 85 on the par 72, 6,612-yard layout at the Cherokee Valley Golf Club to finish at 159. It was Taylor's third top-10 finish of the season.
Chase Hankla tied for 16th place at 162 after shooting the low round of the day – 78 – for the Mountain Lions.
Beau Gammage shot an 80 and finished in a tie for 25th at 164 while
Parker Hulme had an 83 to finish at 167, good for a tie for 29th place.
Young Harris returns to competition Friday (March 29) when they compete at the UNCP/Campbell Oil Classic in Wallace, N.C.
