DAHLONEGA, Ga. –Young Harris College finished in second place at the Chick-fil-A Spring Invitational Tuesday (March 19).
The Mountain Lions shot 315 on the par 72, 6,967-yard layout at the Achasta Golf Club to finish the 36-hole tournament with a score of 626, 14 strokes behind tournament host University of North Georgia.
Beau Gammage and Matthew Peeler both recorded top-10 finishes as each tied for eighth place with a score of 155. Peeler had the low round of the day for the Mountain Lions with a 76 while Gammage carded a 78. Parker Hulme came in 12th place as his 79 put him at 157 while Adam Taylor came in a tie for 17th place at 160 after an 82 in the final round. Chase Hankla had an 84 and came in a tie for 21st place at 162.
Young Harris will return to the links Monday (March 25) when they compete at the Cherokee Valley Invitational in Tigerville, S.C.
