DAHLONEGA, Ga. – Behind four golfers in the top 10, the Young Harris College men's golf team is in second place after the opening round Monday (March 18) at the Chick-fil-A Spring Invitational.
The Mountain Lions shot 311 on the par 72, 6,967-yard layout at the Achasta Golf Club. Tournament host University of North Georgia leads the tournament at 307.
Beau Gammage had the top finish for the Mountain Lions as his 77 puts him in a tie for sixth. Adam Taylor, Parker Hulme and Chase Hankla are each tied for 10th place at 78 while Matthew Peeler is 16th after a 79.
The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (March 19) with a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
