TOCCOA, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Emmanuel (Ga.) College Fall Invitational Tuesday (Sept. 25) afternoon.
The Mountain Lions shot 324 on the par 72, 7,134-yard layout at the Currahee Club Golf Course to finish the 36-hole event at 647. Erskine College won the tournament over host Emmanuel (Ga.) College by eight strokes as they finished at 606.
Clark Melton was the top finisher for Young Harris as he tied for 17th place at 158 after carding a 78 in the final round. Matthew Peeler tied for 22nd as his 83 put him at 160 while Palmer Hulme shot an 85 and finished in 32nd place at 163. Adam Taylor tied for 40th at 166 after carding an 80 while Cameron Medina had a 90 to finish in 55th place at 177.
The Mountain Lions return to action Oct. 8 when they travel to Rome, Ga., for the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational.
