SEA ISLAND, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team moved up three spots into a tie for 13th place on the final day of the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational Tuesday (Sept. 18) being played the Retreat Course at Sea Island.
The Mountain Lions shot a final round score of 319 to finish the 54-hole event at 946. Lee University won the tournament with a tally of 884.
Cameron Medina was the top Young Harris golfer as he finished at 233 after carding a 77. Matthew Peeler also shot a 77 and completed the tournament at 235 while Clark Melton had an 82 and stood at 236. Parker Hulme and Adam Taylor each shot 83 in the final round. Hulme finished at 242 while Taylor was at 248.
The Mountain Lions return to action Thursday (Sept. 20) when they will compete in the Georgia Mountain Trophy tournament which will be held at the Old Union Golf Course in Blairsville, Ga.
