Mountain Lions in 16th after first day of Coastal Georgia tournament

SEA ISLAND, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team is in 16th place after the first day of the Coastal Georgia Fall Invitational Monday (Sept. 17) being played the Retreat Course at Sea Island.

The Mountain Lions shot rounds 314 and 313 to stand at 627 after 36 holes. Lee University leads the tournament at 582 after scores of 296 and 286.

Clark Melton is tied for 37th place at 154 after rounds of 75 and 79 while Cameron Medina is tied for 49th at 156 (79-77). Matthew Peeler is tied for 58th place at 158 (79-79) followed by Parker Hulme (tied 67th, 81-78-159) and Adam Taylor (79th, 85-80-165).

The Mountain Lions wrap up the 54-hole event Tuesday (Sept. 18) with a morning shotgun start.
