Mountain Lions come in fourth at North Georgia tournament

DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf teams finished in fourth place at the North Georgia Spring Invitational Tuesday (March 13) afternoon.

The Mountain Lions finished at 658 after a final round 328 on the par 72, 6,967-yard layout. North Georgia College & State University won the four-team field with a score of 587, fourth strokes better than the University of Montevallo.

Chase Hankla shot his second consecutive round of 79 and finished in a tie for 12th place at 158 while Matthew Peeler had his second straight 80 to finish at 160, good for 16th. Cameron Medina had an 83 and finished in 18th at 169 while Jesse Brock carded had an 86 and came in 20th place. Evan Jordan had a 96 for a two-round score of 186 and came in 24th.

North Georgia's Aaron George won the tournament at 147.

The Mountain Lions returns to action March 31 when they take part at the Carolina Sands Intercollegiate.
