ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team competed at the Coastal Georgia Invitational Tuesday (Feb. 14).
The Mountain Lions finished in 11th place at 642 after shooting a score of 323 on the par-72, 6,872-yard layout on Sea Island Golf Club's Retreat Course. Darton College shot the low round of the entire tournament at 286 to win the tournament with a score of 581, 19 strokes better than first-round leader Coastal Georgia.
Chase Hankla finished in tie for 24th place at 153 after registering the low round of the day for the Mountain Lions with a 74. Cameron Medina shot an 82 and finished in a tie for 41st place at 158 while Matthew Peeler tied at 49th with a 161 after shooting an 82. Caleb Kelley shot an 85 and finished the tournament in 77th place at 178 while Jesse Brock finished at 182 and came in 78th after a 97.
Young Harris returns to action March 5 when they travel to Rome, Ga., for the Rome News-Tribune Invitational.
