ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – The Young Harris College men's golf team opened their spring schedules at the Coastal Georgia Invitational Monday (Feb. 13).
The Mountains Lions are in ninth place after shooting a round of 319 on the Sea Island Golf Club's Retreat Course. Tournament host Coastal Georgia holds a three-stroke advantage over Darton College in the 14-team field after shooting 292.
Cameron Medina had the top finish for the Mountain Lions with a 76 while Chase Hankla and Matthew Peeler each carded a 79. Jesse Brock tallied an 85 while Caleb Kelly had a 93. Darton's Joe Sakulpolphasian leads the field after carding a five-under par 67.
The 36-hole tournament conclude Tuesday (Feb. 14) morning.
