Mountain Lions tied for 14th place at Berry tournament

ROME, Ga.  – The Young Harris College men's golf team is in a tie for 14th place after the first round of the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational Monday (Oct. 8) afternoon.

The Mountain Lions shot 308 on the par 72 layout at the Coosa Country Club. University of Cumberlands holds a four-stroke advantage over Spring Hill College to lead the 25-team field at 291.

Clark Melton is tied for 20th place after a 74 while Adam Taylor is a stroke back at 75 and is tied for 30th. Matthew Peeler shot a 78 and is tied for 65th while Beau Gammage is tied for 94th after carding an 81. Parker Hulme and Chase Hankla, who is playing as an individual, each shot an 83 and are tied for 112th place.

The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (Oct. 9).
