ROME, Ga. – The Young Harris College men’s golf team competed in the first round of the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational hosted by Berry College Monday (Oct. 3) afternoon.
The Mountain Lions are tied for 15th in the 19-team event being played at the Coosa Country Club after carding a 316.
Cameron Medina is the top Mountain Lion in the tournament as he fired a 74 on the par 72, 6,924-yard layout and is tied for 19th place. Chase Hankla and Matthew Peeler are tied for 76th place with rounds of 80 while Caleb Kelley is tied for 86th after an 82. Jesse Brock is tied for 108th place after carding an 87.
Lee University leads the tournament with a round of 286 while four golfers hold the individual lead after registering three-under par rounds of 69.
The 36-hole tournament concludes Tuesday (Oct. 4).
