Danielle Horoschak begins her first season as head coach of the Young Harris College women's lacrosse program.
The Jarrettsville, Maryland, native joined the Mountain Lions coaching staff in January as an assistant coach and saw Young Harris captured the inaugural Gulf South Conference regular-season and tournament championships with a program-best 13 wins.
Prior to YHC, Horoschak was a goalie for  four seasons with women's lacrosse team at the Queens (N.C.) University of Charlotte. With the Royals, she was a four-year starter and was named to the All-South Atlantic Conference second team during her junior and senior campaigns. She led the SAC with a 7.97 goals-against average as a senior as Queens capture both the SAC regular-season and tournament crowns. As a junior, she led the SAC in save percentage (.479) and goals-against average (7.97) as the Royals won both league regular-season and conference titles.
Horoschak, who graduated from Queens in 2015 with her bachelor's degree in interior architecture and design with a double minor in French and business, played lacrosse and field hockey at North Harford High School. She played varsity for three seasons helping lead her team to the 2010 regional championship for the Maryland Public Secondary School Athletic Association North Division of 2A/3A which they won. North Harford was also the 2010 MPSSAA state finalist in lacrosse.
