Channing Milford

Channing Milford begins her second season as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College women's lacrosse program.

Milford roamed the midfield for the Mountain Lions four seasons prior to joining the coaching staff.

Milford, who started all eight matches as a senior, had scored 11 goals and assisted on eight others for 19 points in the shortened 2020 season. She also picked up 40 draw controls, scooped up 15 ground balls and added six caused turnovers. She was second for the Mountain Lions in draw controls and third in caused turnovers and assists.

In her career, Milford helped lead Young Harris to three Gulf South Conference regular season titles and to two GSC Tournament crowns. She played in 54 matches (32 starts) for the Mountain Lions with 43 goals and 15 assists for 58 points. She tallied 90 draw controls, 77 ground balls and 24 caused turnovers in her stay in the northeast Georgia mountains. Milford ranks ninth in the YHC record books in draw controls, 14th in ground balls and 15th in caused turnovers.

Milford, who earned her bachelor's degree in biology from YHC, was named to the Gulf South Conference Spring Sports Academic Honor Roll.
