Anna Claire Knight begins her second season as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College women's basketball program.

Knight came to the Enchanted Valley after spending a season as a graduate assistant coach at the University of West Alabama. She came to UWA from Trinity Christian School, where she was assistant women's basketball coach.

Knight played  at Georgia Southern University where she won numerous awards and set on-court standards for the Eagles. She was selected to the 2014 All-Southern Conference Team, the 2014 All-Southern Conference Tournament Team and the 2011-12 Southern Conference All-Freshman Team.

A 1,000-point scorer, Knight also recorded the first triple-double in Georgia Southern basketball history while being a two-time Southern Conference player of the week, a three-time Southern Conference student-athlete of the week academic award winner and a nominee for Georgia Southern Student-Athlete of the Year.

While serving an internship with Bulloch Academy Athletics in Statesboro, Georgia, Knight researched and assembled a proposal plan for transition from the private GISA athletic affiliation to the GHSA public school affiliation. She also assisted the women's basketball coach to a GISA state title while developing and implementing organized individual player workouts.

She co-led Georgia Southern's individual and team camps for four years, established and coordinated the AC School of Basketball for six weeks in 2015 and attended the Southern Conference Student-Athlete Leadership Institute.

Knight has volunteer experience at the SoCon Track and Field Championships, the Hilton Head Wheelchair Tennis Tournament, the Statesboro Relay for Life, as well as the Boys and Girls Clubs.

She graduated from Georgia Southern in May 2015 with a  bachelor's degree in sport management and a minor in business. Knight graduated with honors as a member of the President and Dean's List.
