Meghna played women's tennis for the Mountain Lions from 2021-2024. During her time as a player, Meghna won 25 singles matches and 19 doubles matches. Mallath was the epitome of the term "student-athlete" while enrolled in school at Young Harris. During her three years as a student-athlete of YHC, Meghna Mallath earned: Three PBC Gold Scholar Presidential Honor Roll Awards, two ITA Academic Awards (2022 & 2023), two D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards (2022 & 2023), the 2023 PBC Elite 16 award, was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team (2023 & 2024), named to the 2023 PBC Team of Academic Distinction, and earned the ITA Arthur Ashe Award. Meghna joined the women's tennis coaching staff before the start of the 2024-25 season.
Meghna Mallath completed her first season as an assistant coach for the Young Harris College men’s and women’s tennis programs in 2024-25 after competing as a student-athlete for the Mountain Lions. She helped both teams reach the Conference Carolinas Tournament quarterfinals, with the women’s squad earning a 4-0 opening-round win over Francis Marion and the men defeating Emmanuel 4-0. The women’s team featured two All-Conference selections, including first-team honoree Futaba Saito and Freshman of the Year Maud Scholten. The men had one All-Congference selection to boot.
