YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | Young Harris College fell 3-0 to Shorter University in a Conference Carolinas volleyball match Wednesday (Sept. 23) evening at the Harp Recreation and Commencement Center.
The Mountain Lions battled hard in the first set, falling 26-28 before dropping the next two 14-25 and 24-26. Young Harris fell to 6-6 overall and 0-5 in conference.
Hannah Depp led the offense YHC with 11 kills.
Mary Margaret Wilson and
Piper Duckworth both added six each.
Lyza Thigpen finished the match with 18 assists.
Kellyn French led the Mountain Lion defense with 11 digs, and
Maddie Pelfrey and
Hannah Depp added 10 each.
Young Harris returns to action Friday (Sept. 25) evening when it travels to Bristol, Tennessee to face King University at 5 p.m.
