ROME, GA| The Mountain Lions traveled to the home of Shorter University today (Sept. 16th) for a Conference Carolinas men's soccer match. YHC would return home with a win, defeating Shorter 3-1. 

The Mountain Lions would take an early 1-0 lead in the matchup when Ezekiel Ortiz took the pass from Ondrej Kopecky and found the back of the net in the 14th minute. Two minutes later, Luka Vasiljevic scored his second goal of the season to take a 2-0 lead. Kopecky would add a goal of his own at the start of the second half to extend the lead to 3-0 for YHC. Shorter would respond with a goal in the 63rd minute but the Mountain Lions defense held on to secure a 3-1 victory. 
 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• Young Harris attempted 15 shots with eight on goal compared to six shots and four on goal for Shorter. 

• YHC had six corner kicks in the match. 

• Tommaso Morsoletto played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded three saves. 

UP NEXT: The Mountain Lions will return to action Saturday (Sept. 19th) when they travel to face Converse University.
