O'Connor led the Mountain Lions to the Conference Carolinas Southwest Division title with a perfect 6-0 record in divisional play and a dominant 13-0 mark in conference action, guiding Young Harris to a 17-5 overall record heading into the conference championship as the top seed.

The turnaround under O'Connor's leadership has been nothing short of impressive, as the Mountain Lions surged from an 8-14 finish last regular season to the top team in the league heading into the championships.
