YOUNG HARRIS, Ga. | In a back and forth second half thriller, Young Harris was able to outlast Southern Wesleyan by a score of 3-2 (Sept 23). Thomas Kleinpenning was the hero for the Mountain Lions putting one in the back of the net with just 29 seconds remaining in regulation which went onto be the deciding goal.  

The Mountain Lions advance to 5-0-1 overall and are 4-0 in Conference Carolinas. The Warriors fall to 2-4 overall and are 0-3 in Conference Carolinas.  

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Ignacio Arribere got the scoring started in the match nearly 65 minutes in to give YH the lead. The goal was assisted by Thomas Kleinpenning. 

• Kleinpenning not only scored the game deciding goal but also scored on a penalty kick in the back-and-forth affair giving him two goals and an assist on the night.  

• YH outshot SWU 13-7 and 5-4 in shots on goal. 

• Ondrej Kopecký was credited with the assist on the game deciding goal. 

• Garnier Matias and Brody Schroeder scored the two goals for the Warriors. 

• YH is now 7-0 versus SWU dating back to 2017 after tonight's victory.
